A Scandal So Warm, It’s Hot

• need an outfit? “it’s handled.” •

I honestly don’t know how/why girls choose to go out when it is -2 degrees in a crop top and wedges. It literally baffles me. Irregardless, I took a step back from college fashion (thank god) and channeled my inner Olivia Pope for my look last night. Moment of silence for everyone who doubted I would wear mom clothes to a frat party.

I personally love a good scandalous outfit as much as the next sorority girl, but I traded my deep-v body suit for a look that was inspired by a different kind of Scandal… and it worked. I got a lot of compliments on my outfit, if I wanted to go out to the bars afterwards I could and not look basic/16 years old/freezing, and I felt super comfortably, confident! The key to getting away with your softest sweater and jeans on a night out is the heel height, the bold lip, and the endless amount of Hulu bronzer I swiped aggressively brushed onto my pale cheeks.

Please note the mad case of RBF I have going on in the first picture (only included for your enjoyment) and the addition of the optional statement necklace halfway through taking pics of myself.

So the next time you go out, I hope that you keep in mind you can be both (literally) warm and (figuratively) hot at the same time. Whether you’re in high school, college, or the real world, an outfit like this is both low-key and fabulous. Oh and for those of you hoping to transform entirely into Olivia for the evening, drinking cranberry juice out of a fishbowl wine glass has an awesome placebo effect when sipped alongside popcorn.
